BO:I:ON. There may be a Mycenaean tholos tomb, similar to the ones found
in Epeiros/Epirus, but it needs to be investigated, as Dr. Georgia
Karametrou-Menteside told this writer,
July 2006 [it could be a remnant of the antartikon/military
operations period of 1947-1949] (this writer knows in what part of Boion the
<<tholos
tomb>> has been located).
THIS writer visited a different site in Boion
which must have housed the remains of a Makedon, but it has been <<turned
upside down>>. It too needs further investigation for what it may yield,
and what stones could be seen indicated a grave, but no bones visible. Other
remains of well masoned stones seem to suggest antiquity.
