(text, 5/12 Feb. 2009, improvement accordingly)
A.D. 191/2 is best favored for this fragmentary prytany catalogue. The prytanis ÉApoll≈niow Mãg[nou] (ÉEruãdhw) of col. II, line 46, was a doctor, as known from FD III(2), No. 117: ÉApoll≈nion Mãgnou / ÉAyhna›on, Delfo‹ DelfÒn, / tÚn fiatrÒn.
Eponymos. Line 5: [ÉEp≈numow A‡l]iow LeÊkiow Pal[lhneÊw] = [§p≈numow A‡li]ow LeÊkiow Pal, from the photograph. He reappears as §p≈numow in Agora XV (1974), No. 423c, c being a fragment of another prytany catalogue; cf. ÉArx. Delt€on 33 : MELETES (1978=1984) 244, No. 3. Agora XV, ariy. 423(g).
The nomen for the vvv D&doËxow of col. II, line 56, has been omitted , and there seems to be preserved some trace of letter(s) after DADOUXOS, which could be part of his demotic, or else reading as before vacat after D&doËxow which would indicate undoubtedly a diadoxØ in process rather than just a simple omission. Kl. D&doËxow MeliteÊw, known as archon in IG II2 2125, line 7: §p‹ êrxontow Kl. D&doÊxou [Melit°vw] (=Kl. F€lippow MeliteÊw) [S. Follet (1976) 500: 193/4 or 194/5] succeeded A‡l. D&doËxow = PrajagÒraw MeliteÊw. Cf. Sean G. Byrne, Roman Citizens of Athens [Peeters 2003] 31, under No. 140; Kl. F€lippow, under No. 165. Kl. §p‹ bvm“ Meli(teÊw), col II, line 58, is Kl. S«spiw MeliteÊw; cf. Sean Byrne herein, under No. 164.
