Kate McGrath received her B.A. in
Political Science and B.A. in History, summa cum laude,
from the University of Georgia in 2002. She received her MA
and PhD in History from Emory University in 2005 and 2007
respectively. Prior to her arrival at CCSU, she taught at
the University of Georgia.
Her teaching interests include Medieval Europe, English
History, and Gender History. Her current research interests include the function
of anger rhetoric in Anglo-Norman ecclesiastical histories and its application
to aristocratic culture. She is working on her first monograph for future
