Do you want to work in the history field, but don’t want to be a traditional classroom teacher? Are you looking for an experience that will help you connect your history training with a career? Consider an internship in the field of Public History. In its most simple form, public history refers to the employment of historians in history-related work outside of academia. By enrolling in HIST 492, students gain practical experience in museums, historical societies, and other public history institutions while receiving course credit. To participate, students must apply by November 1, 2009. Deadline extended to November 17, 2009!
